Registrar Intern

Background

Established in 1935, the Polish Museum of America (PMA), the crown jewel of the Polish-American community, is one of the oldest and largest ethnic museums in the United States.

 

Registrar Intern Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our team. This internship provides a valuable learning experience for individuals eager to develop their professional skills while gaining insights into the operations of our institution and department. The intern will engage in a variety of tasks that will enhance their knowledge and prepare them for a successful career in a related field.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily departmental operations and support team members with various projects.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions to gain exposure to institutional practices and protocols.
  • Conduct research and gather data to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
  • Create and present reports on assigned tasks and findings.
  • Collaborate with staff and other interns to contribute ideas and participate in team discussions.
  • Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner while adhering to departmental standards.
  • Develop a professional network and seek mentorship from experienced professionals within the organization.


Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Strong desire to learn and grow professionally within the field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

 

Compensation

$20.00 per hour

In-person position with some scheduling flexibility

 

INTERNS WILL WORK ONSITE 28 HOURS PER WEEK AND ATTEND A MANDATORY OFFSITE PROGRAM DAY ONE DAY PER WEEK WITH THEIR COHORT.

Internship Period: June 4 – August 7

Total Weeks: 9 weeks

Work Hours per Week: 28 

Total Hours: 252

Workdays: 4 days per week onsite, 10AM–5PM Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

 

PROGRAM DAY:

On Fridays, interns will attend an offsite program day with their cohort.

These hours are separate from the internship hours.
