HR Compliance & Employee Relations Intern
GENERAL FUNCTION

The EssilorLuxottica Full-Time internship spans 10 weeks in the summer (with opportunities to extend Part-Time during the academic year) and allows you to become fully immersed into EssilorLuxottica and its brands. You will perform meaningful work that delivers real impact, take part in learning and career development sessions, and experience one-on-one mentorship and interactive networking events.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build a positive work environment and support the organization’s HR strategy.
- Collaborate with HR professionals and contribute to projects that support the execution of HR programs related to talent management, succession planning, performance management, recruiting, compensation, or employee relations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to managers and employees.
- Identify trends in employee issues, seek out and recommend process improvements, and implement new procedures as appropriate.
- Help ensure compliance with all federal and state labor law requirements through support of corporate HR compliance efforts.
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources team.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Seeking a degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field of study.
- Available for the full 10-week program, 40 hours per week.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. required on the first day of employment.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly establish rapport, build credibility, and create partnerships at all levels within the company.
- Strong customer service, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to identify growth opportunities and build plans to further drive process.
- Comfortability with change and shifting priorities.
- Effective communication skills and courage to ask questions and challenge the status quo.
- Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, maturity and good judgment.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and evaluate priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous internship or work experience in similar functions/business units.
- Leadership roles on campus and/or community involvement.
- Study abroad or international exposure.
