Your Key Responsibilities
Magazine Production & Quality Control
- Printer and Production Management: Serve as the main liaison with our printing partner, overseeing communications and coordinating bids to ensure a seamless production process.
- Monthly Print Coordination: Organize print order details, including page counts, special requests, and content updates from our forty distribution electric cooperatives.
- Financial Oversight: Write and submit monthly production reports. Coordinate with accounting to manage billing, ensuring prompt, accurate invoicing.
Advertising & Revenue Management
- Ad Coordination: Optimize advertising sales and ensure effective placement within the publication. Approve ad pages, confirming that layouts, page counts and story placements align with publication standards.
- Financial Tracking: Oversee and monitor advertising budget targets.
- Tools & Technology: Use Filemaker, AdForce and InDesign to manage ad schedules, placements, and layouts, ensuring the publication’s quality and consistency.
What You Bring
- Industry Knowledge: A solid grasp of both traditional and emerging print and digital trends with experience managing business finances and budgets. Ability to learn new tools quickly and help train others as needed.
- Strategic Mindset: A problem-solver who thinks strategically and pays attention to details.
- Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work well with both internal and external stakeholders on various projects, even under tight deadlines.
Education & Experience
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, social media, or a related field.
- Experience: Three years of relevant experience in communications, marketing, business, sales or print production.
