Digital Ambassador

The Office of Admissions is seeking a Digital Ambassador. The Digital Ambassador will aid in planning, creating, and managing the ZeeMee social media platform as a Student Influencer. This position will require flexible hours, availability to attend events around campus, and the desire to develop and enhance The University of Akron’s Undergraduate Admissions social media presence. 

ZeeMee is a social media platform intended for incoming college students. The University of Akron partners with ZeeMee to enhance the college search process for prospective students. Digital Ambassadors will have Student Influencer accounts to create and post content and answer prospective students’ questions.

Skills Needed:

• Strong writing and editing skills
• Excellent project management skills to consistently meet deadlines
• Must be willing to actively engage digitally with prospective students to share The University of Akron experience
• Must demonstrate a working knowledge of social media and content creation platforms, such as, Instagram, ZeeMee, TikTok, Canva, CapCut, etc.
• Must demonstrate a working knowledge of creating and editing engaging videos, such as, voice overs, adding music, clipping videos, etc.
• Creative in developing unique content
• Is an active member of The University of Akron community and is knowledgeable about academic programs, special events, and the student body
• Is self-motivated and able to complete tasks with little supervision

All University of Akron student employees must meet the designated minimum standards as stated on the Student Employment Eligibility Chart. UA student employees must be 18 years or older at the time of their start date. Any approved remote work conducted by student employees MUST be performed within the state of Ohio.
