2025 Summer Internship in Power & Energy Management

Have an interest in electrification and sustainability? BAE Systems is seeking candidates for 2025 summer internships supporting all aspects of the engineering development lifecycle within our Power & Energy Management business initiative.

Opportunities exist supporting a variety of efforts in engineering development, integration, test and transition to production efforts on complex electronic and mechanical systems for our Vehicle Electrification efforts.

Roles and Responsibilities may include:

· Provide engineering support to the design, development and selection of basic hardware or software components utilizing fundamental engineering principles, theories and techniques.
· Obtain working knowledge of company tools. Perform analyses and compile data for investigation by senior engineering personnel.
· Assist in the design, fabrication or testing of prototype hardware or software. Document results for review by senior engineering personnel.
· Support our growing need and understanding for thermal runway in energy storage systems.
· Gain experience working in a High Voltage/High Power lab environment with an emphasize on product and personnel safety.
· Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Internships at BAE Systems feature additional opportunities including:

· Networking with BAE Systems employees and interns.
· Informational sessions on a variety of topics exclusively for interns.



Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program for Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science or a related field.

US citizenship or permanent residence required.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
 

  • Motivated self-starter with leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability.
  • Ability to close on discrete tasking in a timely manner.
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
  • An interest in power, energy storage management and sustainability.



Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $45526 - $61491

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
