Volunteer Coordinator
Responsibilities
- Schedule and attend Operations Committee meetings
- recruiting volunteers to the organization
- assist with advertising for volunteers on different platforms
- Placing Volunteers in different roles based on their qualifications
- Arranging for appropriate training for volunteers when needed
- maintaining accurate contact information and records of all Volunteer participation at events.
- Communicate frequently with volunteers to ensure they are satisfied and well-placed
- Disseminate information for upcoming actions and events
Requirements
- Preferred Bachelors in business administration, human resources, social studies or relevant field ( or student)
- Experience in volunteering locally and/or internationally
- Experience in recruiting through various channels (handshake, sharedetroit)
- Working knowledge of databases and MS Office (especially Excel)
- Able to communicate effectively with diverse people
- Excellent organizational and team coordination abilities
- Excellent leadership skills, A pleasant, outgoing personality
- 2-6 hours of work a week that can be committed to the nonprofit
