Job Summary
This position is eligible for telework to applicants who reside in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, or South Dakota. Telework eligibility is based on the business needs of the unit and is at supervisory discretion. Commuting to the St. Paul office location for occasional in-person meetings is expected.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Portfolio Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the leadership and coordination of multiple projects within our portfolio, ensuring they align with strategic objectives. You will also be responsible for maintaining project governance frameworks to ensure that projects are executed in alignment with organizational policies and standards. This role ensures compliance with project governance protocols, promotes consistency across projects, and supports decision-making processes through effective reporting and oversight.
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of strategic vision, process expertise, and exceptional leadership skills to ensure the organization maximizes project investments and project governance delivers value and drives organizational success.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- At least three (3) years of full-time equivalent professional project portfolio management, program management, or similar role.
- Proven experience in establishing and managing project governance frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in project management and governance software and tools.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in group facilitation that drives decision making
- Familiarity with organizational change management principles and practices.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing organizational needs.
- Comprehensive understanding of MN State government policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
Physical Requirements
Requires occasional moving of articles such as boxes, accounting records, laptop computer, and portable printer.
