Police Officer

How you'll use your strengths every day

 

Police Officers value people and perspectives by:

  • Providing rescue help and emergency first aid treatment.
  • Answering questions, providing directions and prompt assistance to the community.

 They are on the leading edge when they:

  • Deter and detect unlawful activities by effective police work.
  • Gather evidence, question victims, suspects and witnesses, and follow up on related leads.

 And they expect the best by:

  • Responding to calls for assistance, investigating complaints, and maintaining order in disputes.
  • Directing traffic, reporting hazardous conditions, and enforcing ordinances.

 

What you'll bring to help you be successful

 

  • A bachelor's degree by the date of hire.
  • A valid Minnesota Peace Officer License or be eligible to be licensed in the State of Minnesota by the date of hire.
  • A valid Minnesota Driver's License or be eligibility to be licensed in the State of Minnesota.
  • A background or interest in local government work serving the community.
  • An interest in developing what you do best and a commitment to valuing each colleague for their unique perspectives.
