Global PMO Intern

Scope
The Summer Intern program provides college students with the opportunity to participate in meaningful projects that contribute to the overall business unit objectives.  In addition to the assigned projects, Interns are given the opportunity to participate in activities that encourage networking with peers, managers, and employees.  


Job Summary:
The Global Project Management Office Intern will participate in the achievement of the PMO's objectives through data entry, analysis, and metrics, while interacting with other PMs in the organization.


Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
Master Governance 
The Global Project Management Office intern will support the creation, maintenance, tracking and continuous improvement of the master CVI PMO governance such as:
• Project Portfolio management including the projects register, the projects prioritization, the intake process.
• Resources capacity
• Project Budget
• PMO communication such as SharePoint display and One Pager communication
The Global Project Management Office intern will participate in data analysis, metrics to provide trends and identify focus areas.

PMO Processes
The Global Project Management Office intern will contribute in setting, refining and improving the current internal PMO processes to optimize projects efficiency.

Tools and Systems
In his role the Global Project Management Office intern will be exposed to our internal systems and tools to run the CVI master Governance and will be involved into the optimization of such systems and tools.

Specific Internship Project
The Global Project Management Office intern will be assigned to the Resources Capacity project and journey at Cooper Vision and will be deeply involved in setting the resources allocation and projection module.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
• Intermediate skill in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Advanced preferred.
• Well organized with attention to detail and ability to carry out tasks independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent project management, organizational and follow-through skill set. 
• Strong data analytics and capacity to concentrate.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate with diverse populations.
• Experience with Microsoft Project is a plus but not required.
• Professional demeanor.


Work Environment:
• Professional office setting
• Willing to report to work in the Victor office.
• This is a paid internship.
• Occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.
• Prolonged sitting in front of a computer

Education:
• Current college student, majoring in engineering, mathematics, senior year or graduate.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $21 and $23 per hour and may include cost of living adjustments.  The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future.  This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
