Organization: One For All

Position: Studio Assistant

Reports To:  Kim Jackson (Director and Founder)

Hours: 4pm-7pm Weekdays and 12pm-2pm on Saturdays

About One For All:

One For All is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization dedicated to providing accessible and affordable arts education and resources to the community. We offer a variety of programs, including studio space rentals, workshops, and community events.

Position Summary:

This internship provides a unique opportunity for an aspiring arts professional to gain valuable experience in a dynamic and creative environment. The Studio Assistant will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the One For All studio space, while also having the opportunity to develop their own artistic practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Studio Management:
    • Open and close the studio during designated hours (4:00 PM - 7:00 PM weekdays).
    • Greet and assist studio members and visitors.
    • Ensure the studio space is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
    • Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment and materials.
    • Monitor studio usage and address any concerns.
    • Assist youth who attend with fun freer-style art projects. 
  • Administrative Support:
    • Assist with basic administrative tasks as needed.
    • Assist with the preparation and execution of studio events.
    • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to studio improvements.
  • Personal Artistic Development:
    • Utilize studio space for personal artistic practice during non-peak hours.
    • Receive mentorship and guidance from One For All staff on artistic development.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university, majoring in Art or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be willing to obtain the state required childcare clearances. 
  • Must have experience working with children, and willing to lead community or youth one on one/small group art lessons.
