Student Assistant, APM, CHP

Position Type: Federal Work Study Only 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 

• Oversee the daily operations of the aeroponics research project, ensuring all activities align with project goals and university standards.
• Collaborate with university faculty, researchers, and students to design and implement research experiments.
• Monitor and maintain the aeroponic systems, including nutrient delivery, plant health, and system efficiency.
• Collect and analyze data, prepare reports and presentations to share findings with the university community and external stakeholders.
• Lead a team of student volunteers or assistants, providing guidance and support in their project roles.
• Stay updated with current trends and advancements in aeroponics and sustainable agriculture.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled at the University of Detroit Mercy, preferably in a program environmental science, health biology, or engineering.
• Demonstrated interest in any of the following business, biology, nutrition, agriculture, aeroponics, or related fields.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Anticipated Schedule:

• 10 Hours Per Week.
