Student Assistant, APM, CHP
Position Type: Federal Work Study Only
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Oversee the daily operations of the aeroponics research project, ensuring all activities align with project goals and university standards.
- Collaborate with university faculty, researchers, and students to design and implement research experiments.
- Monitor and maintain the aeroponic systems, including nutrient delivery, plant health, and system efficiency.
- Collect and analyze data, prepare reports and presentations to share findings with the university community and external stakeholders.
- Lead a team of student volunteers or assistants, providing guidance and support in their project roles.
- Stay updated with current trends and advancements in aeroponics and sustainable agriculture.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled at the University of Detroit Mercy, preferably in a program environmental science, health biology, or engineering.
- Demonstrated interest in any of the following business, biology, nutrition, agriculture, aeroponics, or related fields.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Anticipated Schedule:
- 10 Hours Per Week.
