Customer Operations Specialist

Solo is the operating system for the 75m+ app-based gig workers to manage their business and maximize their earnings potential. Solo tracks data across multiple platforms to provide city-level pay and performance benchmarks, including hour-by-hour earnings predictions that Solo guarantees, making up the difference if pay is less.

About You and the Role :As a Customer Support Specialist at Solo, you will be the first point of contact for our users, delivering outstanding customer service and resolving issues with empathy and efficiency. You will play a key role in ensuring user satisfaction, collecting feedback for continuous improvement, and helping our users navigate and make the most of the Solo app.

What you’ll do: Customer Support: Respond to user inquiries through email, chat, and other support channels with professionalism, clarity, and empathy. Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve technical and non-technical issues promptly, ensuring a smooth experience for users. User Education: Help users understand the features and benefits of the Solo app by providing clear guidance and resources. Feedback Collection: Gather and document user feedback, pain points, and feature requests to share with the product and development teams. Knowledge Base Maintenance: Update and create articles for our Help Center to ensure users have access to up-to-date, self-service support. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the product, marketing, and engineering teams to escalate complex issues and communicate solutions. Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on key support metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Qualifications: Experience in a customer support or similar role, preferably within a tech or app-based company. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-first mindset. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues. Proficient with support tools such as Zendesk, Intercom, or similar platforms. Familiarity with gig economy platforms or independent contractor workflows is a plus. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
