WHAT WE NEED:
- Identifies, develops, coordinates, maintains and records documentation for paid and unpaid Work-Based Learning (WBL) placements for students.
- Maintains, manages and assists with completion of all WBL documents necessary for Pupil Accounting. Assumes responsibility for audit reporting.
- Participates in annual risk management training to stay current on the newest state guidelines.
- Develops business, industry and community partnerships.
- Collaborates with instructors to facilitate and assess student readiness for work, coaches students on career interests and appropriate WBL placements.
- Cultivates relationships with local business partners. Evaluates business partners before placing students out on WBL.
- Markets Oakland Schools Technical Campus offerings to community groups through participation in business tours, fielding call-in employment requests, and attending Advisory Meetings and Career/Curriculum Nights.
- Assists in data collection and reporting.
- Facilitates various Campus events with the Student Support Team.
- Participates in Student Support Meetings with OSTC-NE Counselor, Student Support Specialist, Special Populations Consultant and Instructors.
- Participates in Staff Meetings, Building School Improvement Team Meetings and Student Support Team Cluster Meetings to develop resources to meet the needs of the Campus and our students.
- Collects and compiles data in MiStar and reports Work-Based Learning progress to ensure compliance with CTEIS requirements.
- Helps to coordinate the provision of transportation for students participating in WBL.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Two or more years of related experience within Career or Business Development.
- Valid Michigan driver’s license.
- Ability to travel to local businesses and schools throughout Oakland County and utilize the equipment necessary in making presentations. The incumbent is also required to properly operate required office equipment such as a personal computer.
SALARY DETAILS:
$20.09 - $23.30 hourly based on relevant prior work experience, with the potential to earn up to $25.09 after employment with Oakland Schools.
Exempt position / 12-month work year.
