Lifeguard
Job Summary:
The responsibility as a lifeguard is to prevent drowning and other injuries from occurring. Lifeguards must be able to ensure the safety of patrons by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations or behaviors. The individual will need to be able to solve on-the-job issues by utilizing critical thinking and decision-making skills. Lifeguards must be able to enforce pool policies and be able to communicate effectively why policies are in place.
Experience and Training:
Job Requirements: Must be at least 15 years old. Must pass a background check with results acceptable to the City of Rifle.
Work Experience in Positions Similar or Related to This Job: Must obtain American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
This is a part-time, seasonal position, beginning Summer of 2025. The wage range for this position is $15.45-$17.51 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The City of Rifle is an EOE. Open until April 15th.
