Job Summary
The Application Engineer is responsible for leveraging engineering knowledge and relationships to help customers solve complex engineering problems using d3VIEW software. Selected candidate will be working jointly with our application team and our clients in a fast-paced environment to develop, enhance, maintain, and support our proprietary software - d3VIEW.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with the immediate supervisor to enhance engineering knowledge, learn relevant d3VIEW applications and gain experience in customer communication. Become an expert in one or more d3VIEW application areas.
- Apply engineering expertise and knowledge of structural mechanics to provide highest level technical support to customers and Partners, ensuring high-quality, timely customer service that results in improved customer satisfaction and productivity.
- Proactively engage with selected accounts, and work with d3VIEW subject matter experts to provide comprehensive d3VIEW solutions to customers’ problems. Contribute to technical activities throughout the application development/enhancement lifecycle, interact with customers to understand their product design needs and engineering design workflows.
- Instruct introductory training classes and contribute to the delivery of professional services for projects which might include collaborative work with other field engineers in the same or different discipline.
- Gather customer requirements to support the improvement of d3VIEW software and collaborate with the d3VIEW product development teams to translate customer requirements into new product capabilities. Test new builds for production release/deployment.
- Participate in internal corporate initiatives to share knowledge and to create best practices, within and across disciplines.
Minimum Education/Experience
- BS/MS in Mechanical or any closely related field
- Familiarity/Experience in FEA, CAE, LS-Dyna, Crashworthiness, MATLAB, Python, C, Shell Scripting a plus
