Onshore Project Development Intern

Join us in this role where you’ll be a part of a 10-week immersive summer experience designed to strengthen your development through tailored programming focused on three key aspects: exposure to our core business, vision centered and collaborative experiential learning, and professional development.

Welcome to Ørsted America’s Onshore Development
You’ll be part of the Central East Region Development Team where you, together with your colleagues, will support development efforts for new “greenfield” projects and continuous improvement of existing development assets. As a team, we put physical and psychological safety, prioritize collaboration and group success over individual achievement, strive to meet and surpass our goals.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • conducting market research and gathering data on potential project sites, landowners, and permitting requirements
  • analysing geographic, environmental, and policy data to support site selection and feasibility studies
  • assisting with site acquisition efforts to support development of renewable projects
  • developing and managing new tools to track progress and key project metrics
  • organizing and maintaining project files, ensuring document accuracy and accessibility.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and landowners, both in writing and verbally
  • have competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Familiarity with GIS and project management tools is a plus
  • have an interest and baseline knowledge of renewable energy development
  • are a collaborator who looks forward to taking on new opportunities and challenges with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm
  • should be able to start in-person on June 9, 2025 for intern orientation.
