Engineering Intern - Summer 2025

Internship Overview:

CoapTech is looking for Engineering Interns for the summer of 2025. We as a company value creative thinkers and curious people, and we believe the best ideas come from open collaboration and free discussion. Internship dates are flexible and work is in-person.

• Hours: 40 hours/5 days a week
• Internship Duration: May 27, 2025 - August 15, 2025 (flexible)
• The internship offers a fixed stipend, with payments disbursed at the midpoint and upon successful completion of the internship.

Potential Projects

 As an engineering intern at CoapTech, you will have the opportunity to work in all of the following areas:

Research & Development

• CoapTech is always focused on “what’s next?”. As an engineering intern, you will explore this question through design, prototyping, testing, and iterations. You will learn the Design Process or, if you are already familiar with it, experience first-hand how it functions within an engineering department.

Testing

• Because CoapTech is a Medical Device Company, we must follow stringent FDA and ISO standards. This requires thorough testing of all products in all stages of development. As an intern, you will design, build, and qualify test rigs to analyze R&D products and products currently on the market.

Production

• Due to the small company size, CoapTech also runs in-house production. Interns will develop knowledge in supply chains, ordering workflow, and other product realization processes.

Qualifications:

Required:

• MUST be able to be in person in Baltimore, MD. No relocation assistance offered.
• Open-mindedness and willingness to collaborate
• Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering/Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other related STEM discipline

Preferred:

• Experience with CAD software (Onshape and/or SolidWorks preferred)
• Experience with circuits and imaging
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
