POSITION
As an entry-level survey technician, you will thrive with exposure and gain experience under the guidance of a Professional Land Surveyor engaging in a variety of engineering and boundary survey projects.
These responsibilities include:
- Survey Data Collection: Conduct fieldwork for engineering design surveys, accurately mapping the contours and features of the land.
- Construction Staking: Perform construction staking for development and infrastructure improvement projects.
- Boundary Surveys: Assist in conducting boundary surveys to determine property and right-of-way boundaries.
- Data Processing: Process and analyze survey data using Trimble Business Center software to create maps and reports.
- Remote Sensing: Assist with small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS) and terrestrial 3D laser scanning operations to capture high-resolution spatial data.
- Survey Equipment: Maintain, calibrate, and utilize Trimble GNSS, robotic total station, and digital leveling equipment.

YOUR STRENGTHS
- 0-3 years experience with land survey projects
- Associate or bachelor's degree or current enrollment in an accredited program in land surveying, geomatics, engineering, or a related field.
- Completed the Fundamentals of Surveying exam or able to complete soon after hire
- Possesses a Land Surveyor (LS) certification preferred
- Exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Familiarity with survey equipment such as Trimble Business Center, Trimble Real/Works, Pix4d, and Trimble field equipment, including 3D scanners
- Practical Drafting or GIS experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record is required for periodic travel
- Ability to work outdoors in various and changing weather conditions.
- Occasional travel required to remote locations.
- Ability to lift and carry survey equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.
