Biological Science Technician

Duties

You will perform a wide variety of biological science support tasks related to wildlife surveys, wildlife capture and handling, vegetation/habitat surveys, invasive species management and removal, water quality monitoring and other general natural resource management activities.

Some of the duties you will perform include, but are not limited to:

  • Implement established natural resource projects.
  • Collect, enter, and organize field data, including use of ArcGIS. Ensures quality control of data.
  • Perform routine and recurring testing of collected samples.
  • Make field observations of natural resource conditions.
  • Evaluate observed conditions and problems and makes preliminary determination of the cause.
  • Assist in preparation of reports, plans and guidelines.
  • Draft project reports and prepares map, graphs and/or charts and summaries of findings.
  • Provide logical support and area information.
