Communications Internship

Gain an understanding of Port-wide communications and all that entails (news releases, presentations, smartphone video production, social media, crisis communications). The ideal candidate is interested in Communications, social media, and/or Journalism. A strong writer is desired. 

Anticipated Projects: 

Social media content development

Media outreach, phone and email pitching

Updating media contacts

Writing press releases

Writing executive speeches

Residence: Please note you must reside in the San Francisco Bay Area during the internship period. SF/Bay Area includes nine counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma.  

Education: Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be currently enrolled in and attending college at the time of applying for the program.  Those who have graduated from college within six months prior to the start of the program are also eligible to apply. (Latest graduation December 2024)
