POSITION Classroom Teacher
PRIMARY FUNCTION
To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Valid California Teaching Credential authorizing instruction in the grade level and/or subject area to which assigned
2. Clear tuberculosis screening
3. Department of Justice Clearance
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
• Demonstrates knowledge of the California State Standards in the assigned teaching area • Differentiates instruction to meet the needs of students of varying abilities
• Maintains an organized program of instruction based on effective long range plans
• Exhibits evidence of effective lesson plans
• Utilizes a variety of appropriate materials and resources
• Communicates each lesson’s objective and its importance to students
• Utilizes appropriate and varied teaching techniques and learning activities
• Utilizes out-of-class assignments, when appropriate, to support instructional objectives
• Regularly assesses student performance and uses this data to plan instruction
• Maintains an effective system of monitoring student progress
• Maintains an effective classroom learning environment
• Follows school and school board policies and regulations
• Works cooperatively with the school and district staff

Work Year: 185 Days
Salary: Appropriate placement on RPCEA salary schedule
Posted Salary is based on candidates holding a preliminary or cleared credential.
Non-fully Credential is $53,271 - $ 101,037 (depending on experience)
