Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a COO Intern, working directly with the Founder of Voice Up Publishing Inc. This unique opportunity offers hands-on experience in scaling a successful social impact startup that's already making waves in the student leadership space.
Key Learning Opportunities
- Strategic Operations Management
- Develop and implement operational strategies to support our rapid growth
- Learn to optimize organizational processes and workflows
- Contribute to decision-making regarding resource allocation and scaling strategies
- Leadership Development
- Work one-on-one with the Founder to understand executive-level decision making
- Gain exposure to high-level organizational strategy and planning
- Develop skills in managing and coordinating with remote teams
- Community Building
- Help strengthen our network of student leaders across college campuses
- Learn to foster engagement and collaboration in virtual environments
- Contribute to developing partnership strategies with educational institutions
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing operational procedures
- Help coordinate between different teams and initiatives
- Support the tracking and analysis of organizational metrics
- Contribute to strategic planning sessions with leadership
- Help manage and optimize our remote work infrastructure
- Participate in community engagement initiatives
- Support the onboarding and coordination of new student leaders
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
- Strong interest in social entrepreneurship and community building
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Adaptable and comfortable with rapid change
- Experience with remote collaboration tools is a plus
- Leadership experience in student organizations is valuable
