The Real Public Defender is conducting a Video Editor Internship. Intern will have the opportunity to edit video and form a documentary or movie in advocacy of standards of education for the next generation. A child born with extraordinary psychic ability and paranormal activity around him was taken from his mother. Paranormal activity was caught on camera and evidence of these astonishing happenings around him are the instigators in world events such as the Holocaust, the Native American Boarding Schools tragedies, and crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The documentary will bring a war-torn world to peace and raise awareness of children like the star character so that many lives are saved. The piece will allow you to attain real world experience in the film industry and add an excellent piece to your body of work.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Reviewing footage:
Examining audio and visual footage to ensure it meets the project's vision and objectives
Organizing clips:
Using computer software to arrange video clips into a cohesive project
Adding effects:
Incorporating graphics, sounds, and other effects into the final product
Editing:
Splitting or combining video clips to meet the project's specifications
Color correction:
Using video editing tools to achieve the desired color balance and tone
Exporting:
Preparing videos for distribution on mobile and web
Collaborating:
Working with the director, production team, and stakeholders to ensure the final product meets the project's vision
Meeting deadlines:
Working under strict deadlines to balance multiple projects
Maintaining quality:
Ensuring consistent quality across various content formats and distribution channels
Video editors may use a variety of software to perform their duties including:
