Assistant Designer Intern

Role Overview:

As an Assistant Designer for JOVANI, you will play a key role in designing trend-forward RTW pieces and stylish bags that align with our brand’s vision. You’ll collaborate with our creative team to bring your designs to life, from initial concepts to technical development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze current fashion trends, customer preferences, and seasonal color palettes.
  • Create innovative design concepts, sketches, and technical flat drawings for RTW and/or bags.
  • Develop detailed tech packs, including fabric, hardware, and trim specifications.
  • Collaborate with product development and production teams to ensure designs are executed accurately.
  • Revise and refine designs based on feedback from the design and merchandising teams.
  • Maintain consistency with JOVANI’s brand identity and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Accessories Design, or a related field.
  • Proven portfolio showcasing RTW and/or bag designs.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CLO 3D).
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, materials, and accessory hardware.
  • Excellent sketching and technical drawing abilities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience working with luxury or high-end fashion brands.
  • Strong understanding of market trends and customer preferences in eveningwear and RTW.
  • Experience designing both apparel and accessories.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
