About the Role:  Provide support for the KUB Fiber utility ISP network and virtual environments. You will play a crucial role helping to maintain and optimize our virtual infrastructure and system operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with networking, virtualization, and system administration in the ISP industry, while working alongside a team of experienced professionals.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary work; exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Physical demands for a specific position within this classification may vary and / or exceed those demands described above. 

 Minimum Requirements:

Must be and maintain full-time student status of an accredited college or university pursuing an Associates, Bachelors, or a graduate-level degree

Must be available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm

Degree must be in Networking, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Management, or related discipline

Must have and maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher

Must possess skills in MS Office applications, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license

Preferred Requirements: 

Maintains a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher

Strong work ethic with attention to detail and willingness to follow step-by-step instructions    

Interest in working with different types of computer networks and networking technologies

Basic understanding of virtualization technologies and system administration concepts

A passion for documentation and a strong desire to learn

Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
