Marketing and Communications Intern

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Must be based on O‘ahu, Hawai‘i.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong self-management skills with the ability to adapt to shifting deadlines and priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for social media and digital content creation.
  • Knowledge of market research techniques.

Responsibilities:

Social Media Management:

  • Develop and schedule engaging social media content to promote upcoming shows and events.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to enhance design skills and contribute to creative assets.
  • Respond to media inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Campaign Creation:

  • Attend live events to capture captivating photos for social media and marketing materials.
  • Utilize past events to craft targeted, compelling marketing campaigns.
  • Conduct research to identify audience demographics and market trends.

Additional Internship Details:

  • This is an unpaid internship position.
  • Gain hands-on experience in the arts and theater industry while working alongside seasoned professionals.
  • Develop practical skills in marketing, communications, and business operations.
  • Enjoy comp tickets to Hawai‘i Theatre Presents shows.
  • Successful completion of the internship may open opportunities for further collaboration or an official position at Hawai‘i Theatre, depending on performance and available openings.
