Internship Overview / Description
Overview:
Trailhead is the central hub for entrepreneurial activities in Boise, offering co-working space, educational programs, mentorship, and fundraising opportunities. We support entrepreneurs through various programs and events like Boise Entrepreneur Week, Boise Pitch Night, You Lead Idaho, Tree City Trailblazers, and Trail Guides, nurturing an ecosystem for innovation and business growth.
As a Program Coordinator Intern, you will have a hands-on role in the coordination, planning, and execution of Trailhead’s key programs and events. You’ll work closely with our Operations Director to support these initiatives, playing a vital part in supporting Boise’s entrepreneurial community.
Opportunity/Project Duties:
- Assist in the coordination and execution of Trailhead programs, including Boise Entrepreneur Week, You Lead Idaho, Boise Pitch Night, and Tree City Trailblazers.
- Support event planning, including logistics, scheduling, and vendor coordination. Engage with program participants, mentors, and partners to ensure smooth execution and a positive experience.
- Assist in the development and delivery of program content, such as workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities.
- Provide on-site support during events, ensuring everything runs smoothly and addressing any issues that arise.
- Help with the evaluation and feedback process post-program to identify areas for improvement.
- Contribute to the marketing and outreach efforts for Trailhead programs.
- Support the operations of Trailhead’s downtown office.
Requirements / Desired Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience or interest in program coordination, event planning, and community engagement.
- A proactive self-starter with the ability to take initiative and identify opportunities for program enhancement.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with some ambiguity.
- Preferably pursuing a degree in business, marketing, communications, event planning, or a related field (not a requirement).

About the Company / Additional info
Additional Requirements:
- Reliable transportation to attend in-person meetings, shifts, and events at our downtown Boise office.
- Availability to work some evenings/mornings.
- A quality laptop for in-person and remote work.
