Energy Division / Energy Efficiency Branch/ Evaluation Analytics Section:

As an Energy Analyst, you will perform critical research, policy, and economic analysis to support energy programs and initiatives. You'll have the opportunity to work on projects that address key challenges in the energy sector, prepare recommendations for decision-makers, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure policies are inclusive and equitable. Your efforts will contribute to creating a safer, more reliable, and environmentally responsible energy system for Californians.

Under supervision of the Program and Project Supervisor, the key responsibilities of the Energy Policy Analyst are:

• Conduct research and analysis to support the development of comprehensive energy policies and programs.
• Prepare concise and impactful summaries, reports, and presentations for Administrative Law Judges, Commissioners, and stakeholders.
• Assists with analyzing procedural filings, program data, and stakeholder input to inform energy policy decisions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to advance clean energy initiatives and ensure program alignment with California’s energy goals.
• Assist in organizing and documenting workshops and stakeholder meetings, contributing to meaningful discussions on energy issues.
• Perform quantitative analysis using tools like Microsoft Excel to support policy evaluation and decision-making.
• Support projects related to safety, equity, and greenhouse gas reduction, helping California transition to a clean, affordable, and reliable energy future.
