Street Team Marketing Member
The University Star is looking for a motivated Street Team Marketing member to support client marketing operations for The University Star student media group. This student MUST be available from 8:30 AM to noon and work every Tuesday rain or shine. Please do NOT apply if you are not available during this entire time.
Street Team Marketing members are paid hourly and will report directly to Anthony Boltes, Admin II for The University Star. Student employees will be evaluated at the end of each semester and may be invited to return based on their punctuality and performance handing out newspapers each week. Students who miss more than one distribution will be terminated.
The candidate must be a hard-working professional who is able to undertake a variety of tasks and work well within a team. A successful Street Team Marketing member will be punctual, reliable, relatable and effectively hand out all promotional materials.
Responsibilities:
· Successfully complete Street Team Training Course through Canvas.
· Obtain a golf cart license through The University Star.
· Join appropriate SLACK channel and maintain effective communication.
· Submit timely and accurate work hours through SLACK.
· Set up canopy and table with The University Star newspaper and client promotional items.
· Distribute client promotional items such as flyers and samples.
· Provide information about The University Star to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while out on the Quad. Make note of any questions or comments.
· Photograph Street Team event days and send photos to the University Star Director and the Engagement Editor.
· At the end of distribution, break down, return items to the Trinity Building, and put them away in the newsroom storage closet. Make note of any damage or needed repairs.
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· Food handler’s certification prior to start date.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
· Copy of class schedule.
