Digital Safety & Online Abuse Defense
PEN America seeks a Spring internship work with our Digital Safety and Online Abuse Defense team. Online abuse challenges livelihoods, undermines equity, and threatens free speech, and PEN’s Digital Safety team leverages research, education, and advocacy to make online spaces safer, more equitable, and more free.
The fall interns will support a range of projects, which may include: fact-checking research reports, drafting social media copy, updating training materials and our Field Manual Against Online Harassment, and/or tracking tech safety features and policy developments.
This internship will operate from our headquarters in New York City and our D.C. office on a hybrid schedule during normal business hours.
