Job location: Tallassee, AL (about 30 minute drive from Auburn, AL and a 20 minute drive from Tuskegee, AL).

Position Summary:

Neptune provides a modern, state of the art R&D facility for the development and support of metering and Wireless remote meter reading systems. The R&D Co-op functions as a part of multi-functional teams in the creation of new products and support of existing ones. They assist engineers in the Research & Development Department with the design, development and support of metering and wireless remote meter reading products.

This entails the use of computers, spectrum analyzers, test equipment and CAD systems to design, analyze, simulate and test products. In addition, the Co-op is expected to provide summaries of analysis, documentation and reports on work performed. They also assist in the specification and procurement of materials needed to build sample units, beta units and associated fixtures. The Co-op works with technical personnel as needed for the generation of CAD drawings, 3D models, schematics, specifications and other documents.

This position may require some hands-on work on the manufacturing floor as well as programming, range testing, troubleshooting, etc.
