About the Organization
Read Better Be Better's mission is to connect young readers and youth leaders to inspire a love of literacy and leadership.
Read Better Be Better (RBBB) is an education nonprofit focused on solving Arizona's literacy crisis. We work with partnering school districts throughout Phoenix to connect 3rd grade readers and middle school leaders to inspire a love of literacy and learning. Since 2014, we have served thousands of Phoenix students with our after-school program in over 70 schools. Each school semester, we have expanded to serve more students, schools, and families. We are a mission-driven, collaborative community of passionate and creative professionals, and we welcome those seeking to make a positive impact on the Arizona education system.
A Day as RBBB's Program Coordinator
The Program Coordinator at Read Better Be Better will start their mornings in office. Individually and as a team, Program Coordinators will build relationships with partnering schools that host our after-school reading program and the program coaches that facilitate the reading program. This can include answering emails and phone calls from schools and Program Coaches and organizing materials for the reading program. Many times, the afternoon will be spent meeting on schools' campuses and delivering materials for program coaches to successfully facilitate the reading program. One evening a week, the Program Coordinator will lead a meeting with their team of program coaches for team building activities and receive progress updates about the participating students. Overall, the Program Coordinator makes sure program can happen for the schools and students in Phoenix.

Work Environment
Works primarily at office with frequent travel to schools and off-site meetings throughout Maricopa County with opportunity for flexible work schedule.
What you need to qualify
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree or experience in management.
- Must have a valid Arizona driver's license
- Leadership/supervisory experience
- Preferred candidates will have experience in the nonprofit and/or education sector, already.
