POSTION: Early Intervention and Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) Occupational Therapist (OT), Physical Therapist (PT,) Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), Special Instructor (SI)
Location: NYC and Westchester Counties
JOB DESCRIPTION:
· In conjunction with the family, determine appropriate goals and implement methods for achieving milestones
· Maintain progress notes on the child’s strengths, needs and areas of concern
· Complete thorough and clinically sound evaluations and services for children referred to the Early Intervention program in the family’s home, day care or community
· Comply with Early Intervention Guidelines to determine eligibility for services
· Perform evaluations in culturally sensitive ways that reflect the family’s concerns, priorities and resources; and provide an accurate picture of their child’s strengths and weaknesses
· Collaborate with team members to produce consistent and accurate findings
· Provide parent/caregiver with results of evaluations and answer any questions or concerns they may have at the time
· Represent the evaluation team at IFSP meetings, if needed.
· Attend annuals and supplemental evaluation meetings if needed
· Submit all documentation, reports and summaries in a timely fashion
· Educate families and caregivers on appropriate strategies to promote milestones consistent with goals.
Requirements: License in one of these areas
· New York State Certified Special Education Teacher (Permanent)
· Teacher of Students with Disabilities (Birth-Grade 2)
· New York State Licensed Physical Therapist
· New York State Licensed Occupational Therapist
· New York State Licensed Speech Therapist
· New York State Licensed Psychologist
· Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required
· Experience working with children birth through preschool at least 1 year.
· Must provide own transportation

RATES: Negotiable Based on 30min/60 min and Evaluations
