The Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board’s Compliance and Planning Division has an opening for a Senior Environmental Scientist – Supervisor in the Non-Point Source Unit. The position is located at 2501 Lake Tahoe Blvd, South Lake Tahoe, CA.

Duties:

Under the general direction of an Environmental Program Manager I (Supervisory) and consistent with good customer service practices and the goals of the State and Regional Board's Strategic Plan, the incumbent will provide Senior level responsibility and oversight of NPS Unit staff in making policy recommendations, providing technical expertise, evaluating and drafting environmental documents, and performing sensitive assignments related to NPS water quality issues throughout the Lahontan region and the Lake Tahoe Basin. The incumbent is expected to be courteous and to provide timely responses to internal/external customers, to follow through on commitments, and to solicit and consider internal/external customer input when completing work assignments.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
