Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our financial operations by maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and managing accounts payable and receivable. Key Responsibilities:

Maintain Financial Records:
- Record daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- Maintain the general ledger and reconcile accounts regularly.
- Calculate and submit sales tax monthly.
- Reconcile and post credit card charges.

Advertising Billing:
- Charge prepays monthly.
- Invoice and manage accounts receivable for outstanding balances.

Accounts Payable/Receivable:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Prepare and issue invoices, and follow up on collections.

Bank Reconciliation:
- Reconcile bank statements with company records to ensure accuracy.

Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist with budget preparation and forecasting.

Data Entry and Management:
- Enter financial data into accounting software and maintain accurate records.

Collaboration:
- Work with accountants and finance managers to support financial audits and analysis.

Assist in Answering Phones:
- Provide assistance in answering phones during busy periods or when other staff members are out of the office.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality, with a strong commitment to ethics and compliance.
Education:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) are a plus.
Hours:
- 25 hours per week with flexible scheduling options.
Compensation:
- Salary: $26,000/yr - $39,000/yr
