SIP 2025 - Data Quality Specialist Intern (Off Campus) at Acor Orthopaedic, LLC

Acor is a manufacturer, converter and distributor of foams and textiles as well as a leader in the manufacturing of custom orthopedic devices serving a variety of markets worldwide. 

Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Quality Specialist Intern to assist in the cleanup of our company databases as well as creating and documenting SOPs for new data entry in each department. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in data cleansing, analysis, and quality assurance, contributing to the accuracy and reliability of our company data. This is an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills and gain insights into data management processes in a professional environment.
Responsibilities

  • Review and audit data to identify inconsistencies, errors, or missing information.
  • Clean and standardize data to ensure consistency across records.
  • Collaborate with team members to create and implement data quality standards.
  • Assist in documenting data cleansing processes and maintaining data quality guidelines.
  • Learn and utilize tools and software for data cleansing, management, and analysis.
  • Participate in team meetings to present findings and suggest process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in data handling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, etc.); experience with data analysis tools like SQL, Python, or Tableau is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve data inconsistencies.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively share insights and findings.
  • Eagerness to learn about data management, quality assurance, and analysis in a professional setting.

Program Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
  • Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
  • Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
  • Must have a declared major on record

This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program.
