SIP 2025 - Interviewer for Oral Histories (Off Campus) at Catholic Charities Corporation, Fatima Family Center

Catholic Charities is one of the largest health and human services organizations in Northeast Ohio and delivers more than 150 services at 60 locations to over 400,000 individuals each year - providing help and creating hope for people of every race and religion throughout the eight counties in the Diocese of Cleveland (Ashland, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Summit, and Wayne).

Fatima Family Center (Fatima) was established in 1973 out of St Agnes Our Lady of Fatima Church. Since then, Fatima has become a part of Catholic Charities Corporation. In 2000, Fatima opened a new 26,000 square foot facility designed to support and enhance the families primarily in the Hough community. Fatima offers programs that provide educational, recreational, cultural and financial support.

Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors.

Looking for a human/history student interested in the history of the Hough Neighborhood to do interviewing looking at the generational impact of Fatima Family Center on the Hough neighborhood of Cleveland.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good communication skills with intergenerational member of the community. 
  • Willing to work closely with students from creative arts to create an impact video/documentary

Program Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
  • Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
  • Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
  • Must have a declared major on record

This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program.
