SIP 2025 - Project Management Assistant (Off Campus/Hybrid) at Lillie B's House

Lillie B’s House (LBH) is a mother-daughter-owned and operated holistic wellness, creative arts, and storytelling center. We offer services such as spiritual and life coaching, Reiki, creative workshops, and cultural storytelling programs, including  The Nanny Project, a performing arts-based initiative, that celebrates Black American and multicultural family legacies. Rooted in ancestral wisdom and the creative arts, LBH creates welcoming spaces for individuals and communities to heal, grow, and thrive.

Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors.

We are seeking a Project Management Intern to assist in coordinating programs, events, and projects, including expanding The Nanny Project and LBH’s wellness initiatives. This role involves working closely with Dr. Felicia Von Black (Founder) and Courtney Black (Artistic Director) to ensure the smooth planning and execution of workshops, storytelling sessions, and operational activities. This internship is ideal for community college students interested in hands-on experience in project management, public programming, and community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination: Assist with planning timelines, coordinating logistics, and preparing materials for events and workshops.
  • Operational Support: Assist with organizing schedules and maintaining project documentation (notes, timelines, action items).
  • Collaboration: Support The Nanny Project and other LBH programs, aligning goals with the organization’s mission.
  • Communication: Liaise with participants, vendors, and community partners, providing regular updates to LBH leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a community college or equivalent program.
  • Interest in project management, event coordination, or program development.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; experience with Trello or Slack is a plus.
  • Interest in holistic wellness, creative arts, or cultural storytelling is a bonus

Program Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
  • Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
  • Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
  • Must have a declared major on record

This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program.
