Horticultural Aide

As a Horticultural Aide, students will provide support and assistance with the caring and nurturing of plants and gardens. The position also includes assisting United States Botanic Garden or Capitol Grounds and Arboretum employees in the art of managing and cultivating flowers and gardening. These duties can be performed indoors or outdoors.  In addition, students may assist Gardeners with growing and tending to lawns, flowers, shrubs and trees, such as mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, fertilizing plants, flowers, shrubs and trees. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience nurturing and caring for the grounds throughout the Capitol campus.
