Manufacturing Engineering Intern

Perform Manufacturing Engineering work with other fulltime engineers by designing, testing, and implementing packaging designs that are an integral part of Schluter’s development process.

 

COMPETENCIES

  • Previous internship or work experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment in support of Process and/or Mechanical Engineering roles.)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ideally 3rd to 4th year student in good standing in a BS engineering related engineering curriculum. (Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering preferred)

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Performing data collection, analysis, interpretation
  2. Identifying potential design and operation improvements to:    
    1. Design Improvements
    2. Equipment
    3. Processes (LEAN)
    4. Process Documentation
  3. Evaluations and Optimization and Efficiency and Quality of manufacturing process and equipment 
  4. Maintain records and documentation associated to projects
  • Must be able to communicate effectively at all business levels
  • Ability to prioritize and respond to shifting demands
  • Represent Schluter Systems in a professional, positive and enthusiastic manner in all matters
  • Comply with occupational safety regulations
  • Above average Computer Competency (e.g., Excel, Word)
  • Team Player works well with others
  • Good communicator verbally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain resolve when pressured to let something slide
