Occupational Therapist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions to help individuals regain and improve their ability to perform daily activities. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to provide quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess patients’ physical, mental, and emotional health to determine occupational therapy needs.
  • Develop individualized therapy plans to enhance patients' independence in daily living and working activities.
  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions, including exercises, activities, and strategies for physical and cognitive rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families about therapeutic activities and techniques to enhance independence at home.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records documenting assessments, treatments, and progress.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest techniques, treatments, and rehabilitation technologies in occupational therapy.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Occupational Therapy License in the state.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting preferred, but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with patients, families, and staff.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Compassionate, patient, and driven to make a difference in the lives of others.
  • Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
