Your Role
As a Web Development Intern, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing a scalable, secure, and highly customizable client portal. You’ll collaborate with our leadership, HR, and IT teams to bring this project to life, ensuring it aligns with our mission to deliver delightful HR solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Secure File Upload: Develop features for encrypted document uploads with role-based access control.
  • HR Document Library: Create repositories for global and client-specific HR documents, with seamless integration into tools like ClickUp or SuiteDash.
  • Client Profiles: Design and implement customizable client profile features, including emergency contacts, service overviews, and unique fields.
  • Task Management: Enable task request submission, automated reminders, and completion tracking with integration into ClickUp or SuiteDash.
  • Integrations: Integrate with tools like Timely, Slack/Teams, and ClickUp for notifications, task management, and time tracking.
  • Customizable Client Portals: Build a template-based portal that can be easily configured for each client.
  • HR Calendar: Develop client-specific HR calendars with centralized task tracking for key events like open enrollment and filing deadlines.
  • Scalability: Ensure the portal is robust and adaptable to GritHR’s rapid growth, focusing on ease of configuration over excessive customization.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or similar frameworks). Experience with backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, or Ruby) is a plus.
  • Security-Minded: Knowledge of secure coding practices and data encryption.
  • Problem Solver: Ability to translate complex requirements into user-friendly solutions.
  • Team Player: Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Bonus Points: Experience with API integrations, ClickUp, Timely, or similar tools.
