• Applicants must have law firm experience and a background in the areas of Trusts and Estates and Elder Law is preferred. Be proactive and able to assist with the preparation of legal documents, including Wills, Trusts, Health Care Proxies, Living Wills, Powers of Attorney, and real property Deeds.
• Must be able to provide attorney with administrative support and have superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must effectively work with clients and their families.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Case Management: Organizing cases and files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; entering information into Time Matters; case status updates with attorney.
• Client Communication: Answering telephone calls; maintaining client contact; scheduling meetings
• Assisting attorneys with creating, formatting, and revising legal documents
• Typing, Proofreading work for accuracy prior to returning to attorneys
• Maintaining attorney schedules.
• Managing and prioritizing incoming email and correspondence.
• Scanning and e-mailing documents.
• Exhibiting patience, empathy, and professional maturity always.
• Good attitude of cooperation with legal staff, peers, and administrators.
• The ideal candidate is a team player, comfortable with emerging technology, and willing to take on new challenges and increase their skill set.
