Court Advocacy Internship
Court Advocacy Program *Required availability: Monday and Friday, 8:30am-4pm
- Work with victims at our Kent County Courthouse office to provide support, referrals and information about the court process (in-person and on phone)
- Assist victims in completion of required paperwork for protective orders
- Interact with agency staff, court professionals, and other professionals involved in court cases.
Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older
- Successfully complete required EBCC training
- Time commitment: Minimum 8-12 hours/week; some educational institutions require prior approval before the start of an internship for academic credit. It is the responsibility of the student to check with their institution to be sure they meet any requirements before they accept a position.
- Ability to be non-judgmental and open-minded
- Ability to problem-solve utilizing critical thinking skills
