Human Resources Intern

Location: Cincinnati, OH (In-Person)

About the Role / Position Summary

Intern, Human Resources is accountable for the general scheduling and administration of many HR programs, including recruitment and onboarding. Responsibilities include keeping HR systems up to date, reporting, scheduling interviews, onboarding meetings and ensuring exceptional experience for employees and candidates.

 

What You’ll Do / Position Responsibilities 

Talent Acquisition, Training & Onboarding

  • Manage interview scheduling and communications with candidates.
  • Assist with the onboarding process; process paperwork and input data in HRIS system (Paycor).
  • Organize training & development initiatives.

 

HR Systems, Reporting & Compliance

  • Provide administrative support, including filing confidential documents in employee personnel files.
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates.
  • Complete I-9 Audit.
  • Transition paper files to electronic systems.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations.
  • Support development and implementation of policies and processes.
  • Work and projects as assigned.

What We Expect / Qualifications 

  • Start Date: Ideally January 2025, but can flex to February if needed.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or related field.
  • 0-1 years’ work experience in HR or a similar field, preferably finance/investment related.
  • Ability to identify and resolve/escalate complex problems with minimal guidance.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint with strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a high work ethic and confidentiality.
  • Basic knowledge of Payroll/HR systems.
