Spring Internship @ Studio71 - Scripted Series & Feature Development
Studio71 is a digital media company with a YouTube Network that clocks in over 8-Billion views per month. We have channels and partnerships with Dwayne Johnson, digital influencers including Lilly Singh, and VFX-geared content creators like Corridor Digital and RocketJump. On the scripted side, we produce low-cost premium content across all media platforms including film and TV, specifically geared towards millennial audiences.
DESCRIPTION:
Studio71 seeking smart, motivated interns interested in working in scripted development. The ultimate goal of this internship is to help you learn and prepare you for a job by giving you real world experience at a production company. We want to expose you to the process as much as possible, which depends on you taking an active interest in the projects we’re developing and producing. This internship can also help you network and build connections in the industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include: reading and evaluating script and book submissions. Updating company script databases, filmmaker grids, and researching up-and-coming talent. Pitching projects to the scripted team.
PRE-REQUISITES:
The position is unpaid and candidates must receive school credit. The ideal candidate is interested in working in entertainment, an avid consumer of content, and a voracious reader. To get the most out of the experience and to maintain a level of consistency in the fast paced environment, we ask for a minimum commitment of 2 days per week. Begins the week of September 18th in our Los Angeles office.
