Non-Clinical Research Intern

Program Timeline

This application is for a 12-week summer internship program that will start on May 19th and conclude on August 8th, 2025.

The Importance of the Role 

Sarepta Therapeutics is seeking a motivated individual to assist the Non-Clinical Research Sciences Team in their work on testing the efficacy of developing gene therapies. The candidate will provide support to the team as they initiate and execute animal studies designed to understand the pharmacology, efficacy, and tolerability of our genetic medicine. This candidate will support the day-to-day laboratory work including regular prep work and utilizing various molecular assays in accordance with approved protocols. 

The Opportunity to Make a Difference 

  • Assist with reagent and sample preparation including DNA and RNA isolations, cryosectioning, and protein homogenization
  • Assist with non-clinical molecular assays which may include ddPCR, Western blots/JESS simple westerns, and ELISAs as well as any other assays required for study completion
  • Adhere to approved Standard Operating Procedures and Good Documentation Practices requirements
  • Engage in scientific discussions pertaining to the results of studies and experiments

More about You 

  • Currently enrolled in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Ability to adhere to SOPs
  • Detail oriented
  • Knowledge of routine molecular procedures such as PCR, Western blots, and ELISAs
  • Desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment.

This position requires work on site at one of Sarepta’s facilities in the United States.

The targeted salary range for this position is $21 - $25 per hour depending upon years of education completed and nature of role.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
