Analytical Development Intern

Program Timeline

This application is for a 12-week summer internship program that will start on May 19th and conclude on August 8th, 2025.

The Importance of the Role 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to contribute to a cutting-edge research project focused on developing analytical methods for the analysis of AAV-based gene therapies. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in molecular biology and analytical chemistry while playing a role in advancing the field of gene therapy.

The Opportunity to Make a Difference

  • Operate advanced analytical instruments for analyzing therapeutic biologics, supporting manufacturing process characterization, and assessing drug quality attributes.
  • Develop innovative analytical methods to address real-world challenges in a collaborative team environment.
  • Participate in departmental and project meetings to gain insight into the pharmaceutical industry's drug development process.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records of experiments and conduct thorough data analysis.
  • Enhance laboratory skills, learn new analytical techniques, and address current challenges in analytical research and drug development.
  • Present project progress or research findings through oral presentations and written reports, highlighting individual contributions to the team.

More about You 

  • An undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in a relevant field, such as biochemistry, chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Strong interest in gene therapy, biochemistry and analytical chemistry.
  • Basic analytical chemistry laboratory skills with a foundation in biochemistry and analytical chemistry.
  • Hands-on experience with HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) and CE (Capillary Electrophoresis) is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow experimental protocols.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using software tools like Excel.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and methodologies.

This position requires work on site at one of Sarepta’s facilities in the United States.

The targeted salary range for this position is $21 - $25 per hour depending upon years of education completed and nature of role.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
