SIP 2025 - Economic Development Intern (Off Campus) at Team NEO
Team NEO was officially launched in 2003 as the first regional economic development organization to focus on business development for Northeast Ohio. Since that time, Team NEO as the designated JobsOhio network partner for Northeast Ohio, has evolved significantly to become an organization focused on helping the 18-county region generate more jobs faster for more people, retain jobs, create a more inclusive workforce, and attract new investment in a robust regional economy.
Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors.
This internship offers a unique multidisciplinary role with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience by shadowing and contributing to critical teams within our organization: Research, Sites, Business Development, and Community Engagement. Assist the Research, Sites, Business Development, and Community Engagement teams with tasks such as economic market research, site competitiveness analysis, stakeholder engagement, and business attraction decks. Spend time across teams integral in economic development to identify synergies and contribute to strategies that enhance Northeast Ohio’s economic growth .The capstone project would entail how the Research, Sites, Business Development, and Community Engagement teams have common ground, and how to leverage each other's strengths to maximize efficiency in attracting jobs to Northeast Ohio.

Program Requirements
- Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
- Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
- Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
- Must have a declared major on record
This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program.
