Note: In-person interviews will be conducted on Feb. 28, 2025, at West and Metro. These interview fairs are your only opportunity to meet and interview with hiring supervisors.
Join our team as a Venue Coordinator Intern and gain valuable hands-on experience in the event industry. In this role, you will support a variety of marketing and sales initiatives aimed at promoting our exceptional event spaces. Your responsibilities will include contributing to innovative marketing campaigns, creating engaging content for social media and other channels, and collaborating with our marketing team to implement strategies that attract potential clients. Additionally, you will assist the sales team by identifying and cultivating leads, conducting market research, and staying up to date with trends in the event space industry.
This internship also provides opportunities for event coordination, where you will help plan and execute promotional events that showcase our venues. You’ll attend networking events to expand our connections while gaining a deeper understanding of event management. Administrative support tasks, such as maintaining accurate records of leads and client interactions, will further enrich your experience. If you’re enthusiastic about event planning, marketing, and sales, this internship is your chance to build practical skills and make an impact in the dynamic world of event spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Educational Background: Currently enrolled in a Marketing, Business, Hospitality, or related program.
- Skills and Knowledge: Strong written and verbal communication skills, a basic understanding of marketing principles and social media platforms, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive applications.
- Experience: Prior experience in marketing, sales, or event planning is preferred but not required.
- Personal Attributes: Energetic, proactive, and eager to learn with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Adaptability and a professional demeanor are essential.

Program Requirements
- Must be enrolled in current semester (Spring 2025)
- Must enroll in a minimum of one Summer 2025 course
- Must be returning to Tri-C for Fall 2025 Semester
- Must have a declared major on record
This position is part of the Cuyahoga Community College Summer Internship Program.
